With entrances facing the High Street and Cathedral Green, this is a great bookshop to wander into and peruse the shelves at leisure. It's spread across three floors with plenty of space dedicated to each genre. Since the Waterstones chain came under new management, they have provided a far more personal bookshop experience, introducing personal recommendations from staff and comprehensive stock (not just bestsellers). I used to work at an independent bookshop and was very impressed by the Exeter store.

I am from Dawlish but I use the store because its got a large amount of floor space and a very good layout. My stuff is Syfi. Take a look at Jessica's review for more.

This is an amazing little charity shop. You can take up to 3 books each time you visit and pay what you want. They also have a seed bank that you can take and leave seeds as you wish.

Love this place. Always has cool books, new and old, and you pay what you feel they are worth. Would recommend coming here if you're looking for something unique.
