There is a great selection of books and staff were extremely helpful and generally lovely. The cafe upstairs is so worth a visit! Best cafe in Exeter in our opinion. We go every week and are never disappointed, very good value cakes/cream tea and amazing sandwiches (Brie, bacon and cranberry particularly recommended).

Stopped for a light lunch at Waterstons in Exeter and we had a toasted sandwich and bowl of soup with coffee and all were very nice. Thank you.

As with most branches of Waterstones, you'll find an eclectic mix of the books you expected (bestsellers, reference works) and the pleasant surprise. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the layout of the shop is conducive both to browsing and to finding a specific book.

Bright.Cheerful staff. Good cafe and the books of course. Glad Torquay has a decent bookshop again.
